Museum Volunteers Needed
If you have a keen interest in Australian military history, becoming a volunteer at the Army Museum of New South Wales might just be for you.
The museum urgently needs more volunteers to attend on Thursdays between 9.30 am and 2.00 pm.
Our volunteers greet visitors, conduct guided tours of the museum and answer visitors' questions. On some days, a volunteer may also be needed to receive and tally payments made by visitors.
Previous experience working in a museum is not necessary as on-site training will be given.
On Tuesdays when the museum is normally not open to the public, some volunteers take part in cataloguing, improving displays, conserving the museum collection or in undertaking research.
The museum roster is quite flexible, with volunteers either attending on Thursdays only, Tuesdays only, on both days, fortnightly or just once a month.
